Pumpkin Jack
We read the story Pumpkin Jack during afternoon snack. The story tells the life cycle of a pumpkin. Starting off as a pumpkin, then to a moldy and rotten pumpkin left out in the garden, to becoming a plant in the spring. Finally, an adult plant with baby pumpkins. So, we are conducting our own pumpkin experiment.
Day 1 - November 7, 2022
First step was to prepare the container in which our pumpkin would spend the next couple of months. We put some soil in the bottom of the container. We then sprayed some water onto the soil so it was damp. We carved the pumpkin and carefully put the pumpkin inside. We put the lid on our container and placed him in the window. Now we wait for the life cycle to begin
On a nice day, in the middle of January, I took Pumpkin Jack home and opened the lid and add some dirt on top of our moldy pumpkin. A few weeks later we had pumpkin sprouts growing up.
Should be getting blossoms soon!
