Candy Heart Experiment

We placed candy hearts into 6 different liquids; water, pop, vinegar, dish soap, syrup, and oil.  Students had to observe and record different information onto their experiment page. They had to predict which hearts they think will dissolve the fastest.  We let them set over the weekend and when we came back on Monday, we looked at the experiment again and recorded the final results.  Vinegar was the winner with the hearts completely dissolving and the oil and dish soap came in last with little to no dissolving taken place.
